Past Exhibits

Stonehill students present exhibits at the Carole Calo Gallery alongside artists from all over the world. Our most recent exhibitions are highlighted below.

P.O.E.M. (Poetics of Ephemeral Memory)

In February and March of 2014, the Carole Calo Gallery featured Massachusetts-based artists Jennifer Liston Munson and Tina Feingold, in P.O.E.M. (Poetics of Ephemeral Memory). Stonehill students in the Exhibitions and Collections course this semester curated the exhibit in collaboration with Boston-based curator Beth Kantrowitz of bkprojects.

Adria Arch: Iconic

The Carole Calo Gallery featured the work of non-representational painter and mixed media artist Adria Arch in the Fall of 2013. The exhibit included Arch’s acrylic paintings of doodles. The scribbles represent signs and signifiers of the most latent daydreaming. Seemingly quiet marks on a page, when enlarged and painted, Arch elevates them to bold graphic conscious exclamations.

Art of the Heirloom

On display in February, 2014,  the “Art of the Heirloom” exhibit at the Cushing-Martin Gallery included a variety of contemporary artwork that was commissioned for the Hudson Valley Seed Library’s seed packs.
