Christ Encounters Retreat
Through talks, reflection, conversation, and prayer, participants will discover how they encounter Christ in their everyday life. You will meet wonderful people, learn about yourself, think reflectively about faith and spirituality, and you will have a great weekend away from Stonehill.
Registration for the Spring 2017 Retreat will be available in early February. Registration will be completed online and students will be able to pay through the online marketplace.
Never been on a retreat before? Nervous what to expect? On the CER, you can expect:
- to meet a great community of folks who are journeying to discover their faith and more about themselves
- to pray individually and in community
- to hear a series of talks given by students about their own personal relationship with God
- to discuss in small groups openly about your experience with faith, spirituality, and belief
- to enjoy a great, fun weekend away from campus
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to be Catholic to attend?
No! Students from all faith traditions are invited to attend the retreat. Students should expect to reflection on what it means to encounter Christ and to engage in conversations about God and forming a relationship with Him.
I've never done anything with Campus Ministry before, can I still go?
Yes! What a better way to begin to explore your faith at college than with one of our Retreats!
What happens if I don't know anyone else going?
No worries. Many folks go on Retreat without knowing others and leave with life long friends!
When will we leave campus on Friday and when will we return on Sunday?
Dinner will be provided for students on campus at 4:15pm on Friday with the bus departing at 5pm. Students should expect to return to campus around 5pm on Sunday. Students are expected to attend the entire duration of the retreat. Students who are able to attend the entire duration of the retreat will be given preference should all of the available spots fill.
