In recognition of outstanding academic achievement, Steven McGloin ’15 has been named the Stonehill College Marketing Program’s 2015 Student of the Year.

McGloin, a marketing major from Mansfield, Massachusetts, has demonstrated a commitment to scholarship that exemplifies the habits of mind that Stonehill seeks to help students cultivate.

“Steven is motivated to learn and has great intellectual curiosity,” says Eddie Rhee, associate professor of marketing. “Through his work with his teammates on a series of projects, he showed that he is extremely organized and highly focused with an ability to manage projects.”

McGloin, a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army, is finishing his degree at Stonehill through the Army’s Green to Gold program as he awaits completion of a military medical review for retirement.

“Once my review is completed, I will be transitioning to a civilian career within the marketing field,” says McGloin. “I have been lucky enough to form relationships with a few companies through the Office of Career Services.”
