In recognition of outstanding academic achievement, five students have been named students of the year in the Business Administration Department.
Erin Hollander ’14, Accounting Student of the Year
Erin Hollander ’14, an accounting major from Abington, Mass., has earned the highest grade point average in her major. She has been inducted into Lambda Epsilon Sigma, Beta Gamma Sigma and serves as the vice president of Beta Alpha Psi, the international accounting honor society. Erin will attend Boston College to study for a master’s degree in accounting before beginning her career with the international accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Antonino Gentile ’14, International Business Student of the Year
Antonino Gentile ’14, an international business major from Hopedale, Mass., has earned the highest grade point average in his major. He is the vice president of the Financial Management Association, the treasurer of the Student Government Association, and a research analyst for the Stonehill College Investment Finance Institute, of which he is a founding member. Antonino worked and studied in London during his junior year and at the Beijing Center in China as a sophomore. He also has concentrations in economics and Chinese. He is fluent in Mandarin. Upon graduation, he will begin his career at Aon, the risk management company that he interned with during his senior year at Stonehill.
Marissa Beaudoin ’14, Marketing Student of the Year
Marissa Beaudoin ’14, a marketing major from Hopedale, Mass., has earned the highest grade point average in her major. In her marketing principles class, Marissa and her teammates researched a smartphone application called ShopQuick that helps consumers locate products and compare prices. She serves as president of the Autism Speaks club, has interned in both marketing and corporate communications, and is in the Stonehill Collegiate Choir. A Spanish minor, Marissa studied in Spain during her junior year.
Michael Frick ’14, Finance Student of the Year
Michael Frick ’14, a finance major from Easton, Mass., has earned the highest grade point average in his major. Michael was on the Dean’s List for six consecutive semesters, was a Stonehill College Moreau Honors Scholar, and the recipient of the Shields and Novak/Templeton merit scholarships. He has been inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma, the international business honor society. Michael’s impressive work ethic earned him a promotion at his internship with EquipNet, Inc. Upon graduation, he will begin a full-time position with the State Street Corp.
Tate Molaghan ’14, Management Student of the Year
Tate Molaghan ’14, a management and environmental studies double major from Mont Vernon, N.H., has earned the highest grade point average in management. She has been inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma, the international business honor society. Tate is a statistics teaching assistant, the captain of the ultimate disc team and an avid outdoorswoman. She has combined her two majors in her work as a public relations intern at Equal Exchange, a fair trade worker cooperative. Tate also performed field research at the El Eden Ecological Reserve in Quintana Roo, Mexico. This summer she will start a full-time position with the Conservation Services Group.
