Real Food: With the signing of the Real Food Campus Commitment, the College is seeking to increase its procurement of real food, namely local/community-based, fairly traded, ecologically sound and humane food. By 2020, the goal is to have 20 percent or more of our food purchases real food ones. The student group Food Truth worked with the Purchasing Office and Sodexo, our food service, on this initiative. The Food Politics Learning Community, which studied food production, distribution and consumption, also raised awareness about this issue. Students in this course, supported by Farm Manager Bridget Meigs and others, created Food Truth.
