#GIVINGTUESDAY: We intend to make history tomorrow with an exceptional day of philanthropy in support of the College. For our fifth year participating in #GivingTuesday, our goal is to again secure more than 1,000 donors in support of support scholarships, mission, athletics, study abroad, internships, and more. HURLING HOSTS: Looking for a location where Irish athletes could practice before the recent Hurling Classic at Fenway Park, Kathleen Harrington ’08, assistant director of special events with Fenway Sports Management, contacted Athletic Director Dean O’Keefe ’94. With that call, the Tipperary hurling team trained at W. B. Mason field the day before Fenway event. One of fastest field games in the world, Hurling is a leading sport in Ireland today. Check out photos here.
ACADEMIC AWARD: For the seventh year in a row, our student-athletes have been recognized for their academic performance, securing a 97 percent Academic Success Rating from the NCAA and earning its Division II Presidents’ Award for Academic Excellence. Learn more here.
DAILY WALKER: An early riser, Fr. Willy Raymond, C.S.C. ’67 is a daily walker with a unique route, the Walk of Mary, which brings him past the many statues of Mary throughout campus. His story and that of other alums who use campus to exercise, reconnect, pray, or find inspiration are in the new Stonehill Alumni Magazine, now in the mail to 26,000+ alumni and friends. Read their stories here.
WHAT ARE WE THANKFUL FOR?: Here at Stonehill, we're thankful for a lot. Ahead of Thanksgiving last week, a number of students, faculty, and staff shared what they're thankful for this year. Watch the video.
