Stonehill’s Rudy: Chris Bury '17 came to Stonehill with clearly defined goals. He wanted to start for our football team. He wanted to earn his computer science degree in three years as part of our 3+2 dual-degree program. And after graduating, he wanted to spend the latter part of the program at Notre Dame not just earning his second degree, but also as a member of the prestigious Fighting Irish football team. The Boston Globe recently profiled that journey, including his success as a football walk-on. To read the article, visit here.
Dual-Degree Extra: What is the program that allows students like Chris Bury '17 to earn two degrees, one from Stonehill, one from Notre Dame, in five years? It's the College's dual-degree engineering program, which lets students earn a science degree in either chemistry, computer science, environmental science or physics, then transfer to earn a corresponding bachelor's degree in engineering. 3+2 students may also be supported by the Chet Raymo Engineering Scholarship, established in 2014 to compliment the program.
