A member of the Stonehill Theatre Company, Samantha Putko ’16, has been chosen to receive a National Fellowship Award from the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival.
As part of the award, Putko will receive an all-expenses paid trip to the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. for the National Festival in April. There she will interview arts administrators from top national theater organizations and spend several days at the Kennedy Center studying theater, attending professional workshops, and meeting peers from other festival regions.
“This Kennedy Center Award represents the highest level of achievement in a student's field of study. It’s a tribute to Samantha’s talent and hard work and also speaks volumes about the quality of our own theatre program,” said Joan Halpert, Faculty Instructor, Department of Visual and Performing Arts.
