Professor Ubertaccio joined the faculty as a member of the department of Political Science in 2001, became Director of the Martin Institute for Law & Society in 2007, chair of the Political Science Department in 2010, and Associate Dean for Interdisciplinary Programs in 2014. His new role, effective July 1, is responsible for leading and overseeing the School as it launches next fall.

New Minor: The College recently announced the introduction of a minor in speech-language pathology (SLP), designed to prepare students for graduate school programs in communication science disorders, SLP, and audiology. Students interested in taking advantage of the new SLP minor can contact Professor Peter Ubertaccio for more information. Learn more here.

Cancer Fund: MacKenzie Greenberg ’19 and the Skyhawks field hockey program raised $3,000 for the Arms Wide Open Childhood Cancer Fund with its Athletes Crush Cancer 5K run on campus recently. The community response was overwhelming, not just at Stonehill, but throughout the field hockey community as 18 fellow NCAA Division II programs made donations and participated in their own way, including running the 5K on their campuses the weekend of the event. Goldwater Scholar: Congratulations to Meghan Maciejewski ’18, who has been named a 2017 Goldwater Scholar. The Barry M. You can send a note of thanks, appreciation or encouragement to include in a senior’s bag. Each card or note should have the senior’s full name printed on the lower left corner of the envelope and be sent to the Office of Alumni Affairs. If you have any questions, you can contact the office at 508-565-1343.
