WOODROW WILSON FELLOW LEADS CAMPUS IN MIDDLE EAST DISCUSSIONS

During his week-long visit to campus, Woodrow Wilson Fellow Richard Norton will lead numerous campus discussions on the Middle East with students, faculty, and administrators.

One of the highlights of Norton's visit will be a public lecture that outlines a broader perspective on Islamic society, culture and religion beyond the headlines we see in the media.

Entitled "Muslims: The Other 99%," the lecture will take place on Monday, February 25 at Alumni Hall from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. All are welcome.

Norton, professor of international relations and anthropology at Boston University, currently focuses his research and writing on strategies of reform in authoritarian regimes of the Middle East.

The first Wilson Fellow to visit the College in its  history, he is the guest of the Martin Institute and Director Peter Ubertaccio from February 25 through February 29.

"Given his scholarly pursuits and extensive travels, Professor Norton's week-long residency at Stonehill promises to be one of the highlights of the spring semester," notes Ubertaccio.
