   Catholic-Jewish Dialogue Committee / Journeying Together In Faith

Founded in 1993 and funded in part by the Dr. and Mrs. William Winick Symposium on Catholic-Jewish Relations its purpose is: 

  • To promote understanding 

  • To foster mutual appreciation and respect

  • To disseminate proper and accurate information in teaching about each others faith 

  • To encourage sensitivity toward one another's traditions and beliefs 

Past programs have included: 

  • Catechists' workshops 

  • Preparation and distribution of an educational video 

  • Essay contest for high school students and poster contests for elementary school students 

  • Conference for clergy on topics such as salvation, passion narratives, exploring gospel texts, the Chosen People, and teaching the Hebrew Scriptures to Catholic and Jewish youth 

  • Lectures and discussions for college students on the relationship of anti-Semitism and the New Testament
