Brand Identity Standards
Stonehill College is competing with academic institutions across the nation and around the globe. Given this dynamic environment, it is increasingly important for us to express a single, compelling voice in everything we do.
The totality of the logo, visuals, and words we use to describe the College will enable us to establish and maintain a clear, unified brand identity, both within the College community and beyond.
This website provides general guidelines for the visual and verbal articulation of the Stonehill College brand, as well as specific directions for the application of our updated logo and related elements. We recommend that you refer to this guide whenever you develop marketing communications.
Typography
A consistently applied typographic system supports Stonehill's identity. The type gives a classic, welcoming tone to Stonehill's communications, subtly conveying the college’s strength and tradition. Supplementary fonts have been selected to complement and contrast with the logo font incorporating the Stonehill font family, and can be used for either text or display purposes where appropriate. If everyone at Stonehill helps to implement these changes, the college's reputation can only be strengthened.
The Frutiger and Egyptian font families are preferred fonts for use on official stationery, correspondence and signage when produced by a professional designer. Arial is a widely available serif font and has been selected as the preferred font for any internally produced communications.
Arial
Arial has been selected as the College's primary typeface, and is used for promotional materials that are produced in-house. Arial is a widly available sans-serif typeface and computer font packaged with Microsoft Windows, other Microsoft software applications, Apple Mac OS X and many PostScript computer printers. It should be used for all of our internally produced communications.
