International Student Orientation
We know it is challenging for international students to attend the Summer Orientation program due to the travel distance and dates. Therefore, while Summer Orientation is recommended, it is not required. However, the International Student Orientation is required for international students.
It is a half day program, from 8:30 a.m. to noon, on Friday, August 25th . This program is designed to help international students prepare for the start of their college experience, understand SEVIS regulations and compliance, and become active contributors in the community.
Intercultural Experience Program (IEP)
International students start the Intercultural Experience Program (IEP) right after International Student Orientation (Friday, Aug. 25-Saturday Aug. 26th). The Stonehill community is made up of students from different states, countries, religious backgrounds, family structures, political beliefs, ethnicities, cultures, languages and so on! The IEP is a fantastic opportunity to meet people and have conversations about both mutual and diverse experiences.
Students participate in workshops, discussion groups, fun social activities, and meet their “big brother” or “big sister.” In these workshops, students discuss issues of diversity, get to know other students from diverse communities and experiences, and prepare for their own leadership at Stonehill College.
