Obtain Your I-20 and Pay the I-901 SEVIS Fee

Note for Students Presently Attending School in the United States

Students presently attending school in the United States on an F-1 student visa do not need to apply for a new I-20 or F-1 Student Visa. John Pepin will contact you with regard to transferring your F-1 status to Stonehill College.

F-1 Status

The F-1 Visa is a visa status for students eligible to enroll in academic programs in the United States including at colleges or universities awarding bachelor’s, master’s, doctorate or professional degrees, and at community or junior colleges.

Please note, if you presently hold U.S. dual citizenship, permanent residency, or reside in the U.S. on another valid visa status, you are not required to apply for an F-1 Student Visa.

Form I-20

Once you receive acceptance to Stonehill College,Associate Dean of Admission/ Coordinator of International Admission, John Pepin (also a Designated School Official) will mail you a Form I-20, Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant Status. Form I-20 is a paper record of your information in the database called the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS).

I-901 SEVIS Fee

Before you apply to pay the I-901 SEVIS Fee, you must select Stonehill College and use your Form I-20 to pay the I-901 SEVIS fee and to apply for the correct student visa. Payments are made at www.FMJfee.com. Please note, the F-1 student payment is $200. Additional information on how to pay your I-901 SEVIS fee can be found here.
