Scholarship Giving

Stonehill College has over 200 scholarships and this number continues to grow each year. These scholarships support over 20% of our current students and for many students, receiving a college education would not be possible without the scholarship assistance.

Scholarships not only help pay for an education, but they help change a life.

Here are some sentiments of gratitude student scholarship recipients have shared with their benefactors:

“I applied for many scholarships and said a prayer before sending them in; I also worked all summer anticipating my financial aid letter. When I received my financial aid award letter I remember nearly crying for joy at the generosity of your scholarship, along with a few others, because it meant that I could return back to my second home: Stonehill College.”

“You have been a blessing in my life and you have made it possible for me to succeed. My family here and in Africa greatly appreciate your wonderful generosity. My gratitude will never be forgotten, for your help in changing me into the kind of man I am today and for awarding me the Ronald E. Burton Scholarship.”

Many of the College’s scholarship benefactors have found their experience of supporting Stonehill students’ education to be rewarding.

One benefactor shared the following thoughts:

“I received another nice letter from the scholarship recipient this year with the annual statement and it is sure gratifying for me to be able to make a small contribution that is so much appreciated and put to such good use.”
