home with your parents (if they want to help).
See whether or not you can get the penny to dance and
think about why you did or did not succeed.

Dancing Penny Experiment Materials: glass bottle with opening no larger than a penny, one penny, bowl. Find a bottle with an opening smaller than the diameter of a penny. Leave the bottle and a penny in the freezer for 15 minutes. Take the bottle and penny out. Put the penny over the opening of the bottle, and use a little water on the lip of the bottle to ensure an airtight seal. Fill a large wide bowl a few inches with hot water (from the tap) and place the cold bottle in the container. Wait and see if the penny starts to dance. Print
out
and read the pages about
the paper
towel project.
