Finding your full potential involves immersing yourself in the passions you already have and exploring areas where others might lie hidden.

Stonehill makes it easy. Comfortable residence halls, an active campus, great food and a welcoming culture help you quickly feel right at home and encourage you to dive in to all we have to offer.

There’s only one prerequisite: Be curious.

Become Stronger in Every Aspect of Your Life

At a time when you should be pushing yourself to find out just what greatness you are capable of, it’s empowering to be in a supportive community.

“[An] aspect of Stonehill that really feels like home is just how safe a place this is for exploration,” says Darius Haghigat ’16, a biology major from New Bedford, Massachusetts. “I have a number of passions that I never would [have] dreamed I had before I came here, and just knowing that this is a safe place to really explore those passions — going on adventures I never really thought I’d go on — definitely makes Stonehill feel like home.”

Whether in clubs, student organizations, sports or community service, you’ll discover countless opportunities to form lifelong friendships and express your own priorities and beliefs.

Clubs and organizations: From hiking to the top of Mt. Washington with our Outdoors Club to analyzing rulings in the St. Thomas More Pre-Law Society, we have clubs and organizations that cater to a wide variety of interests. Whether academic, performance-based, sports-related or cultural, you will find a club or have the opportunity to create your own.

Sports and fitness: This is an active campus with 20 NCAA Division II teams and more than 30 intramural and club sports, including rugby, ultimate disc and beach volleyball. This year’s 50,000-square-foot addition to the Sally Blair Ames Sports Complex adds stunning glass-walled weight and fitness facilities overlooking W.B. Mason Stadium.

Service: Stonehill is committed to faith, diversity, equality and social justice, and we make sure you have many opportunities to live those values. It happens through retreat programs, cross-cultural immersion, working on our farm and opportunities such as our Into the Streets volunteer program and the H.O.P.E. Service Immersion Program.

A Vibrant Residential Life With Access to Much More

Just by living on our campus, as more than 93 percent of our students do, you quickly come to see what makes our community special.

“I love that I can walk into almost any room here at Stonehill and always [see] a familiar face and say ‘hi’ and have a conversation,” says Brianna Dau of Bloomfield, Connecticut, a psychology major who will graduate this year. “People are willing to stop and just ask you how your day was [or] what you’re passionate about, and I’m really going to miss [that].”

Stonehill students have a choice of traditional, corridor-style residence halls, suites and townhouses, and housing built around special interests, such as sustainability and community service. From that home base, you will find friends interested in the things you are, whether it’s a campus concert featuring Echosmith, Waka Flocka Flame, Kid Ink or T-Pain; a Boston excursion to Fenway Park; or one of Stonehill’s perennial favorites, such as the DiverCity talent show or Mr. Stonehill competition.

Whatever you imagine for your college experience, you can make it happen at Stonehill. The Office of Student Activities makes it easy to create a new club, and even has funding for trips to special events. Cheer on your favorite sports teams in Boston or catch a Patriots game at Patriot Place in nearby Foxboro. Go for a hike or play a round of disc golf at nearby Borderland State Park. Go skiing in the beautiful mountains of New England. Drive an hour to Cape Cod for idyllic beaches. Or hop on a train to New York City. You’re never far from the excitement of a big city or peaceful natural surroundings.
