Stonehill alumnus, Michael Novak ‘56, is the George T. Jewitt Scholar in Religion, Philosophy and Public Policy at the American Enterprise Institute in Washington, D.C. His published works include texts on ethnicity, sports and democratic capitalism.

His archives include over 300 linear ft. of manuscripts, books, correspondence, newspaper columns, and journal articles and is increasingly regarded as being central to a fuller understanding of American Catholicism in the second half of the 20th century.

The Michael Novak Collection is located in the Joseph W. Martin, Jr. Institute and open from 8:30-4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday during the academic year.  During the summer the archives close at 3:00 p.m. on Fridays.  Appointments are recommended during the academic year and required during the summer.  Use of correspondence is restricted.
