Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology at Northeastern University

Stonehill College and Northeastern University have arranged for the preferred admission of qualified Stonehill students each year to the Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology Program at Northeastern. The agreement prepares future speech-language pathologists for the rigors of clinical practice in educational and health care settings through a comprehensive program of study that emphasizes teamwork and interdisciplinary approaches to complex service delivery issues.

Qualifications

  • Senior standing with an anticipation of successful completion of a bachelor’s degree from Stonehill in May of the same academic year, or successful completion of a bachelor’s degree from Stonehill between May 2012 and May 2017
  • Completion of all of the following prerequisite courses at Stonehill with a grade of B or higher in each course:
    • Intro to Audiology
    • Phonetics
    • Normal Language Development
    • Intro to Speech and Hearing Science
    • Chemistry OR Physics
    • Anatomy and Physiology of the Speech and Hearing Mechanism
    • Statistics
    • Psychology course
    • Human Biology course
  • Minimum overall GPA of 3.40 at Stonehill College
  • Minimum GRE verbal score of 155, minimum GRE quantitative score of 153 and a minimum GRE analytical writing score of 4.0 
  • 3 professional letters of recommendation
  • Personal statement
  • Submission of all application materials by January for matriculation in the following fall term
