Stonehill alumni have gone on to enjoy a variety of psychology-related careers. Some examples:
Hilary Marck ’10
- Hilary spent a year in the Dominican Republic as part of Stonehill’s International Extension Program after graduation. She now works in a middle school as a special education instructional assistant and is taking classes for her master’s in social work at Simmons College.
Amanda Sexton ’07
- Amanda received a master of arts degree in counseling psychology with concentrations in child behavioral therapy and child/adolescent therapy from Assumption College. She now works for the Brain Injury Association of Massachusetts as a healthcare coordinator.
Emily Murphy ’05
- Emily received her master’s of science in communication sciences and disorders administration from Massachusetts General Hospital’s Institute of Health Professions. She now works as a speech language pathologist in a public school as well as a rehabilitation facility/nursing home.
John Gorvin ’82
- John received a master’s degree in counseling psychology from Boston College and a doctor of psychology degree in clinical psychology from Florida Institute of Technology. He now has his own private practice as a clinical and sports psychologist.
