The French program builds students written and spoken language skills while also exploring cultural issues and institutions of France. This encompasses an examination of, among other things:

  • Educational systems
  • Governments
  • Politics
  • Social norms - along with music, literature, the arts & sciences

Stonehill French majors are required to spend a semester abroad in an approved study abroad program or in one of the international internship programs sponsored by the College. Minors are encouraged to do the same.
