Internships not only help students gain “real world” experience, but also grant academic credit. Summer internships are also an opportunity to earn academic credit.
During the semester, a student will typically work 8 to 12 hours per week at a local company such as General Dynamics, Shields MRI, Staples or Intersystems. Most Computer Science majors choose to complete an internship during their junior or senior year.
