Many Communication students have participated in research with Department faculty and presented their findings at the Eastern Communication Association conference, winning prizes and getting published in scholarly journals.
Among them is Domenique Ciavattone ’13, who assisted Anne Mattina, associate professor of Communication, in doing research for a project entitled “Striking Women: Massachusetts Mill Workers & Rhetorical Agency, 1912”, which examined the pivotal Bread and Roses strike in Lawrence. Their work was accepted for presentation at The Bread and Roses Centennial Academic Symposium.
