The FMA National Honor Society
Established in 1970, the Financial Management Association International (FMA) is a global leader in developing and disseminating knowledge about financial decision making. The FMA’s more than 3,000 members include finance practitioners, academicians and students who are interested in the techniques and advances that define the field of finance. Consistent with this mission, the members of the FMA share the following values and beliefs:
- Professional integrity is a critical component of quality research, education and practice
- Respect, understand and appreciate the diverse needs and interests of others
- Support free and open discourse and interaction among academician, practitioners and students
- Promote open governance and broad-based participation
The FMA National Honor Society recognizes scholastic achievement through induction of students who have demonstrated superior scholarship. Stonehill College seniors eligible for induction have maintained a GPA of 3.50 in at least 12 hours of finance and finance-related coursework as well as an overall GPA of 3.25.
Individuals accepted for membership in the Honor Society have the distinction of belonging to the only international honorary that specifically recognizes the achievement of Finance majors who demonstrate their expertise in areas such as financial economics and decision-making.
