Fall Orientation is a 3-day program to help students prepare for the start of the academic year. While there is no official program for families, we do encourage families to stay for the Welcome Mass which starts at 4 p.m. on Saturday, August 26. The mass has traditionally been one of celebration to welcome all new students and families into the Stonehill community and officially start Fall Orientation. After the Welcome Mass (approximately 5:15 p.m.), there will be a brief "good-bye" ceremony on the main campus quad in which students will say good-bye to their families and leave to go with their Orientation groups. Families will then depart campus after this event.
During the day, most families and students are busy moving into the residence halls. There are no official events during the day as families and students spend the time exploring campus and the local communities, doing last minute shopping, or going out to eat.
If you might need overnight accommodations for your trips to Stonehill, please check out our local accommodations page.
